Before we really get into the heart of spring and summer cocktails, before the herbs are growing and the more hard to find citrus fruit is found in the stores, lean on your old buddy the orange. Friend through thick-n-thin, the orange always quenches and satisfies as a cocktail additive. A great Saturday, late afternoon or early evening drink, you probably have all the ingredients for this one around the house right now.
Here we go –
1 ½ oz Grand Marnier
2 oz fresh orange juice
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1+ tsp simple syrup (to taste)
club soda to fill
Shake everything but soda in shaker with plenty of cracked ice. Pour everything into a chilled tall or highball glass. Fill with cold club soda then garnish with an orange wheel.
